Candi Cane Toddler - For those of you who know me - I love gold. Thus, I love her. She might not be for everyone, however, I rank her right up there with my TOP PICKS. An in-between size - and wonderfully layered. I am also a big fan of "open mouth" sculpts as they are the most difficult to do in sculpting.
Alice (edition 5,000) and Mademoiselle (edition 750) - Artful Reflections Series. These photos do not do these beauties justice. The paintings that come with these lovely dolls are wonderful. They are full of color (the flash is really washing out this photograph). Mademoiselle will going on my bedroom dresser! As you can see from the photograph, Mademoiselle sits on her satin cushion. Unique!
M'lissa Virginia Holiday - Retail Exclusive - Limited Edition 750 - A Diane's Dolls Top Pick - what more can I say? I spoke to Lisa Hatch about this lovely doll. Lisa sent this doll back to the factory many times to change minor detailing to arrive at the final "incredible" M'Lissa in holiday. Everything from the elegance of the silk fabric in a rich deep red (beautifully smocked) to the perfect color of the antique beige lace makes this doll "timeless" in appeal.
Franny Fruit Basket - An incredible finish to a fun collection! Franny Fruit receives top praises from me. I adored her open mouth sculpt, her playful hairstyle and her festive fruit medley print dress. Even her basket was brimming with color! A must have for the fruit collectors!
Young Love - Limited Edition 15,000 - The second photo is to show you the amazing detail in her dollie. She is musical! (Young Love plays "Young Love") There is something for everyone in the Marie Osmond Fine Doll collection. Featured above are Mabel from the Portrait Series (in peach) and Budding Virtuoso (Violin girl) attired in Navy. Although these dolls are not for everyone, they are very well done. Mabel, with her hand painted eyes, could add a perfect "antique" flair to a "family" history corner in a home. Budding Virtuoso comes complete with a very realistic looking violin and case. She is an excellent value and would look lovely on a piano or in a special spot in a home.
Ashlyn - A beautiful wax over porcelain bust in a limited edition of 1,000. Sculpted by Sonja Bryer. Very well done - a beautiful piece!
Tiny Tots! Featured above are Sheila (with the trunk), Saundra, American Classic and Remember Me Rose. They all turned out incredible. My top pick is the Tiny Tots Rosebud Series! Tiny Tots Mr. & Mrs. Paws were simply too cute for words. I love bunnies (we have a real live bunny as a pet in our family). I thought these were a must have to decorate with for Christmas. A great gift idea also!
I thought the above porcelain 5" Adora Belle Bell was one of the cutest items I've seen for Christmas gift giving (of course, please don't forget yourself on that list!) Retail is $25.00.
Anita M. & Diane (Diane's Dolls) enjoying a moment at Rosemont. Anita and I have been chatting on the phone for over five years now, and I finally had the wonderful opportunity to meet her. Shari W., Mary R., Sandy G., Stacey M., Kathy M., and Donna M. sharing a special moment at Rosemont. Dollfriends are the best! Anita forwarded us this beautiful shot of Judy Mae and her family with Marie (theh doll Judy Mae was was sculpted after Judy Mae!).
Shao Pang - His name stands for "Little Chub" - Marie was so pleased at how well the original doll translated into resin.
Here is the Almost A Bridesmaid Series - Patience is in pink (back); Hope is in the lovely detailed lavendar gown and Faith is in the back in the beautiful emerald/mint green two-tone gown. This photo was from Rosemont 2003 - we currently have one Hope (African American) doll left in inventory - clearance price is $45.00 and $5.00 shipping (retail is $89).
Please double click on photographs to enlarge! Above is a Christmas photo of the Sales Supervisor at Marian with her two lovely daughters. This was not a Rosemont photo, but I wanted to share it with you. Kristy does a marvelous job in coordinating/managing retail sales for dealerships.
